General: 16 hours, must be clinically related
Medical Errors: 2 hours
Laws and Rules: 1 hour, must cover the Midwifery Practice Act
HIV/AIDS: 1 hour
Domestic Violence: 2 hours, required every third biennium

Midwives renewing a license for the first time who were licensed in the first half of the biennium are required to complete the full 20 hours.

Midwives renewing a license for the first time who were licensed in the second half of the biennium are only required to complete 2 hours in Medical Errors.
