Every biennium, Florida Massage Therapists are required to complete 12 Classroom hours of Relevant to and focus on massage therapy techniques as part of their CE renewal requirements. This requirement must be fulfilled by a provider that has submitted the course through CE Broker to the Florida Board of Massage Therapy for pre-approval.
Please note: For the cycles ending on 08/31/2021, 08/31/2023, and 08/31/2025 Relevant to and Focus on Massage Therapy Techniques can be completed Anytime due to the temporary Covid-19 Rule Change.
Why Aren’t My “Relevant To” or “Focus on Massage Therapy Techniques Classroom” Hours Applying to My Requirement?
This usually occurs for one of the following two reasons:
- The provider did not submit the course to the Board through CE Broker for pre-approval.
When the provider submitted the course within CE Broker, they submitted the hours under the wrong subject area.
Please note: In the above situations, you would need to reach out directly to the provider to confirm if the course was in fact submitted through CE Broker for pre-approval to offer Classroom hours.
