Effective June 1, 2022, New Mexico APRN licensees (CRNA, CNP, CNS) must maintain national certification and present a digital copy of their certification card at each renewal. To report certification, log in to CE Broker, select the license, choose the CE cycle, and upload the certification card. APRNs without a DEA are done after uploading; those with a DEA must complete five hours of non-cancer pain management continuing education.
Reporting Your National Certification
1. Log in to your CE Broker account and then click the Report CE button.
If your account has multiple licenses, make sure the correct license is selected before reporting your CE.
2. Click the Additional Options tab and select the current CE Cycle date range from the dropdown menu. Two options will appear, with DEA or without DEA.
3. Click Begin next to the option that describes your license scenario. Follow the steps to upload your National Certification card.
Next Steps
NM Nurses without a DEA: Once your certification card is uploaded, you’re all set.
APRNs with a DEA: An additional requirement of 5 hours of non-cancer pain management CE, per 16.12.9.10 NMAC, will automatically be added to your CE requirements.
