Some Texas health care practitioners who provide direct patient care must complete an approved human trafficking prevention course to renew their license. In order to satisfy the training requirement, the course must be approved by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
Important note: You can only claim 1 CE hour for this specific requirement. Time spent beyond the initial 1 hour does not roll over to future cycles or other requirements. If you take a 1.5-hour course, the additional 0.5 hour cannot be applied toward any other subject area/requirement.
How to Report Your Course
If your course completion has not automatically transferred to your account, follow these steps to report it manually:
Log in to your CE Broker account.
Click on the Report CE button located at the top of your dashboard.
Select the Human Trafficking requirement from the list of reporting options. You can click the "Learn more" section to review details and regulations.
Enter the completion date and the course type as it appears on your certificate.
When prompted for hours, enter 1. Even if your certificate shows more time, the system will only accept 1 hour for this requirement, as excess hours do not apply.
Answer the questions as prompted.
Attach a digital copy of your certificate of completion.
Click Submit to finalize the entry.
