Professions include Acupuncturists, Medical Physicists, Medical Radiologic Technologists, Perfusionists, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Respiratory Care Practitioners, and Surgical Assistants, excluding Acudetox. The process involves logging into CE Broker, selecting the multi-requirement reporting option, entering credit hours by subject area, attaching the transcript, and submitting. Human Trafficking credits must be reported separately.
Texas Medical Board licensees often receive a comprehensive continuing education transcript from professional organizations. Instead of reporting each course from your transcript individually, you can use a streamlined reporting option to apply your credits toward multiple subject areas at once. If you completed a multi-credit transcript that covers various board requirements, follow the steps below to report your hours efficiently.
This single-transcript reporting feature is available for the following Texas Medical Board professions:
Acupuncturists
Medical Physicists
Medical Radiologic Technologists
Perfusionists
Physicians
Physician Assistants
Respiratory Care Practitioners
Surgical Assistants
Please note that this option is not available for the Acudetox profession.
How to Report Your Single Transcript for Multiple CME credit:
Log in to your CE Broker account.
Click the "Report CE" button located in the "View Details" tab
Select the option to report to individual licenses if you hold multiple professional licenses.
Locate the reporting category designed for Organization Transcripts on your account. Note: This option may be titled differently depending on your specific profession. You can click the Learn More section within this option to review specific details regarding acceptable documentation.
Enter the completion date from your transcript. If your transcript contains multiple completion dates, select the latest date listed.
Enter the total credit hours earned for each specific subject area listed on your document. If your transcript includes different dates of completion, you can choose the latest date on the transcript.
Example: If you completed a 10-hour transcript where 2 hours count toward Ethics, 2 hours toward Pain Management, and the remaining 6 hours toward Formal Category 1, you should enter the hours as follows:
Ethics and/or Professional Responsibility: 2.00
Pain Management and the Prescription of Opioids: 2.00
Formal Category 1 or 1A Hours: 6.00
With this single reporting entry, you can apply credits toward multiple CME requirements.Note: Human Trafficking credits will need to be reported individually.
