Texas Physicians often receive a comprehensive transcript from organizations such as the Texas Medical Association (TMA). Rather than reporting each course from your transcript individually, you can use a streamlined reporting option to apply your credits toward multiple subject areas at once.
If you have completed a multi-hour transcript that covers various requirements—such as Medical Ethics, Pain Management, and Formal Category 1 hours—follow the steps below to report them efficiently.
Step 1: Log in to your CE Broker account and click the "Report CE" button.
If you hold multiple licenses, you must first ensure you are reporting to the correct professional profile to see all available Texas-specific options.
Log in to your CE Broker account.
Click Report CE at the top of your dashboard.
If you have multiple licenses, select the option to report to individual licenses.
If you are under the new CE Broker Enhanced Experience, simply click the "View Details" dropdown arrow and select the "Report CE" option:
Step 2: Select the Multi-Requirement Reporting Option
Locate the reporting category titled Organization Transcript of Formal Category 1 or 1A CME hours.
Click the Report button next to this option.
Note: You can click the Learn More section within this option to review specific details regarding acceptable documentation.
Step 3: Enter Your Credit Breakdown
When reporting your transcript, you will be prompted to enter the date of completion first, and then the total hours earned for each specific subject area listed on your document. If your transcript includes different dates of completion, you can choose the latest date on the transcript.
Example: If you completed a 10-hour transcript where 2 hours count toward Ethics, 2 hours toward Pain Management, and the remaining 6 hours toward Formal Category 1, you should enter the hours as follows:
Medical Ethics and/or Professional Responsibility: 2.00
Pain Management and the Prescription of Opioids: 2.00
Formal Category 1 or 1A Hours: 6.00
With this single reporting entry, you can apply credits toward the following requirements:
Medical Ethics and/or Professional Responsibility (Category 1 or 1A)
Pain Management and the Prescription of Opioids (Category 1 or 1A)
Formal Category 1 or 1A Hours
CME Related to Pain Management (Category 1 or 1A)
CME in the area of EMS Medical Direction (Category 1 or 1A)
Note: Human Trafficking credits will need to be reported individually
Step 4: Review and Submit
Follow the remaining prompts to confirm the information.
Attach a copy of your transcript.
Click Submit CE to finalize the entry.
