The Ohio Board of Cosmetology identifies your license by using a set of letters, a period, and then numbers. These letters are referred to as your profession code. A profession code will always be the start of your license number. If you are asked to provide your license number when setting up a new account, you need to enter your profession code followed by a period and then your numeric license number. Do not include any spaces. See below for examples of full license numbers with profession codes! (Note: replace the 99999999 or XXXXXXXX with your actual license numbers.)
