The NC Psychology Board is auditing the 2022 license renewal cycle due to incomplete CE documentation in CE Broker. Licensees must report all 24 required CE hours correctly through CE Broker by August 7, 2023, or face disciplinary action. Certificates should not be sent to the Board. Users can self-report missing CE and ensure correct category reporting via CE Broker, with resources provided for assistance. After compliance, contact the Board at info@ncpsychologyboard.org for verification.
Why Did I Receive an Audit Notice?
The NC Psychology Board has initiated an audit of the 2022 license renewal cycle. This means that your CE Broker account appears out of compliance with the Board’s Continuing Education requirements due to not having all the required 24 hours of CE documentation and/or the required hours in each category in which you attested to completing when you recently renewed your license.
What Are My Next Steps?
Do not submit certificates of completion to the Board office; such documentation will not be accepted. All CE must be reported through your CE Broker account.
Failure to submit documentation to CE Broker of completing all of the required 24 hours of Continuing Education by August 7, 2023, could result in the Board taking disciplinary action against your license.
How Do I Report My Continuing Education to CE Broker?
Reporting missing CE to your CE Broker account is easy. Please check out the following article for step-by-step instructions:
Self-Reporting CE Courses to Your Account
I Thought I Completed All My CE — What Am I Missing?
First, if you believed that you have submitted 24 hours or more, you will need to review your CE Broker account to ensure that all categories of CE have the adequate hours required.
If you have our Professional Account, you will have access to a transcript directly from your board that will reflect the exact subject areas that you are missing.
If you are a user of our complimentary basic account, we kindly advise you to click on the course title of each course within your CE Broker account. By doing so, you will be able to access the subject area that the respective course is reported under and you will need to manually calculate that all hours are accounted for.
Key Points About Being Compliant in CE Broker
- All activities must be reported towards the correct subject area. A common error is the ethics requirement being reported towards Cat A hours, not the specific Cat A Ethics reporting option. In this situation, you would simply need to delete the incorrect posting and re-report the activity under the correct reporting option.
- For incorrect postings, please click on the following link for complete instructions on how to successfully remove an incorrect reporting from your account: Deleting Courses Reported to Your Account

What Happens After All CE Has Been Reported to CE Broker?
Once you have submitting the remaining required documentation to CE Broker to meet all of the required 24 hours of Continuing Education, contact the Board office at info@ncpsychologyboard.org in order for the submission to be verified by the Board.
