CEB Now supports live courses that can be conveniently accessed and completed within your CE Broker account. After purchase, you receive email reminders 24 hours and 30 minutes before the event. Access the course early, stream via YouTube, and use live chat. Attendance verification codes are given at the end, required to complete a survey for credit and certification, which then posts automatically to your account.
What can I expect when taking a live course in CE Broker?
Once you purchase or start a “Take It Here” live course through CE Broker, the course will automatically appear in the My Learning tab under the In Progress section.
To access the live stream, verify attendance, and participate in the live chat, select Start Course and review the instructions on the first page.
You will receive two email notifications from the education content provider before the live event. The first email is sent 24 hours before the course with a reminder and any additional instructions or information. The second email is sent 30 minutes before the event to remind you that the course is about to begin and will include instructions for accessing the session.
If the course no longer appears in the In Progress section of your account, or if you do not receive the 30-minute reminder email, the course was likely canceled by the education provider.
How Do I Access the Live Course In CE Broker?
Instructions for accessing the live course are also available on the first page of the course within CE Broker.
On the day of the event, return to the My Learning section of your account, select In Progress, and click Start or Continue Course at the scheduled time. We recommend accessing the course a few minutes early to ensure everything is ready before the session begins.
All live course content is streamed through YouTube. To participate in the live chat, you must be logged in to a YouTube account. If you do not already have one, you can create a YouTube account using the link provided in the chat window. Click Create Account in the login window and follow the prompts (a Google account is required to create a YouTube account).
Please note: Live cameras will not be enabled during the course.
I Have Accessed the Course. How Do I Start the Livestream and Receive Credit for Attendance?
1. Click the YouTube video to begin streaming. Please note, you will not see a live video until the live stream begins. There will be a countdown in the lower left-hand corner of the video indicating when the stream will start.
2. Watch the entire live webinar, and feel free to use the live chat if you wish to interact with the instructor. To pop out the live chat, select the "Popout chat" option at the bottom of the screen.
3. Write down the attendance verification code provided at the end of the event. Successful completion of a survey will be required in order to obtain credit for the course. This code will be required in order for you to access the mandatory survey.
4. To access the survey, click the “Next” button after you write down the attendance verification code.
5. Enter the attendance verification code by inputting each corresponding digit as instructed (first digit, second digit, and so on).
If you do not have your attendance verification code, please contact the education content provider directly to confirm your attendance.
6. Rate the course. This is the last step! Once you rate the course you completed, your credit hours and certificate of completion will post automatically to your CE Broker account.
