The Texas Medical Board allows Acudetox Specialists to request an exemption from their CE requirement for the current renewal cycle. These exemptions aren’t automatic — each one requires a written request that board staff review and approve before it’s applied in CE Broker.
Understanding Exemption Types
This board offers two exemption options, and both are full exemptions.
Exemptions That Satisfy All Requirements
- Catastrophic Illness — written request, reviewed by board staff.
- Active Military Service — written request, reviewed by board staff.
How to Report an Exemption
- Log in to your CE Broker account and select your credential.
- Click Report CE +, then open the Additional Options tab.
- Choose the licensing period the exemption applies to. Click Learn More to review the exemption details, then select Report to begin.
- Answer the prompts and upload your supporting documentation.
- Click Submit.
