Delegate Access allows organizations to manage continuing education (CE) compliance for licensed professionals securely, without needing their login credentials. Licensed professionals can connect their accounts to organizations via invitations. Delegates can view credentials, report CE, and export certificates but cannot edit licenses or make payments.
What is Delegate Access?
Delegate Access lets an organization, like an employer, office manager, or HR department, manage continuing education compliance on behalf of the licensed professionals they support. It's a secure alternative to sharing passwords or one-time passcodes (OTP): once connected, the organization can view credentials and report CE without ever needing the professional's login information.

How do I connect my account to an organization?
There are two ways this usually happens:
If your employer already has an organization account set up: They can invite you directly by entering your email address. You'll get an email invitation, and you'll also see a pending invitation waiting for you in CE Broker.
If your employer hasn't set up an organization account yet:
-
Click on your name on the top right side and then select Delegate Access.
- Select Invite a Delegate and then Copy Instructions.
- Send those instructions to whoever you'd like to manage your CE (your employer, office manager, etc.).
- They'll follow the instructions to create an organization account and invite you.
Copying the instructions doesn't connect anything on its own — it simply points your employer toward the right steps. The actual connection happens once they send you an invitation and you accept it.
How do I accept a delegate invitation?
-
Look for the invitation in one of two places: the email sent to your account's email address, or your Delegate Access page inside CE Broker (under Actions Required).
-
Select Accept Invitation.
- If you're not already logged in, you'll be asked to log in or create an account first.
Clicking the link in the email doesn't connect you automatically — you'll always need to take that final step and select Accept Invitation once you're logged in. This makes sure the connection only happens with your explicit approval, even if you sign up with a different email than the one your employer used to invite you.
Good to know: If you started this process but didn't finish, just go back to the invitation email and select Accept Invitation again to pick up where you left off.
What can my delegate (organization) see and do?
Once you accept an invitation, the organization can view all of your credentials — both current and any added in the future. There isn't currently a way to share only some of your credentials; it's all or nothing.
Here's specifically what your delegate can and can't do:
They can:
- View your credentials and requirements
- Report CE on your behalf
- Edit or delete CE they've reported for you
- Export your CE certificates and transcripts (based on your own subscription tier)
They cannot:
- Add, edit, or delete a license or its supporting documents
- Report CE that requires a payment — you'll need to handle those submissions yourself
- Purchase a subscription upgrade on your behalf. If they try, they'll be directed to contact CE Broker Support instead.
Next step: If something looks off with what a delegate has reported, you can review your CE history any time from your account.
I am a Delegate or Organization Administrator
Delegate Access lets your organization manage continuing education compliance on behalf of the licensed professionals you support — securely, and without needing their passwords or one-time passcodes.
Once a professional accepts your invitation, you can view their credentials, report CE for them, and help keep them compliant, all from your organization account.
Your organization can have up to 200 licensed professionals and 5 delegates.

Inviting a Licensed Professional
- From your organization account, go to your Licensed Professional Management page.
-
Select Invite, then enter the professional's email address (you can enter multiple emails at once).
If a professional already has a CE Broker account under a different email, they can still accept and connect their existing account.
Invited professionals appear in your Pending Invites tab until they accept, which serves as their consent to connect. Invitations are valid for 30 days, and from this tab you can Resend or Cancel them at any time.
Once accepted, they move to your Professionals tab.
What can I do once a professional accepts?
From the Professionals tab, you can view and manage their account, including:
- Viewing licenses, certifications, requirements, and course history
- Reporting CE and exemptions
- Editing self-reported CE
- Exporting course history or CE certificates
The Tier column shows each professional's individual subscription plan — your access to their account follows their plan, not your organization's. You can review the following link to see what each tier includes: CE Broker Plans
Removing professionals and delegates
-
To remove a professional: Select Remove next to their name on the Professionals tab and confirm. They'll be notified by email and will need to manage their account on their own going forward.
- If a professional revokes access instead: Every delegate on your organization receives an email notification.
-
To add another delegate: Go to Settings → Delegates, select Add Delegate, and enter their email. They'll appear as pending until they accept, then have the same access as any other delegate on your organization.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I as the Licensed Professional connect with more than one organization?
Yes. You can be connected to multiple organizations at the same time if that fits your situation.
How do I remove an organization's access to my account?
- Go to Account Settings → Delegate Access.
- Find the organization you'd like to disconnect.
- Select Revoke Access
Access ends immediately once you confirm. Every delegate connected to that organization will also receive an email letting them know the connection has ended.
Does my delegate need my password or OTP code to access my account?
No. Once connected, your delegate manages your CE through their own organization login — they never need your password or one-time passcode. If anyone has asked you to share your login credentials to manage your CE, Delegate Access is the secure alternative.
I'm a licensee, but I also manage CE for others at my job. Can I use the same account for both?
No. Your personal CE Broker account (as a licensee) and a delegate account (managing CE on behalf of others) need to be set up separately, each with its own email address.
We recommend using your work email for your delegate account and your personal email for your own licensee account. This keeps the two roles cleanly separated and avoids any mix-up between managing your own CE and managing CE for the professionals you support.
Pro Tip: If you already have a personal account and need to set up a delegate account, use a different email address than the one tied to your personal account when you create the organization.
