Adding your National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification to your CE Broker account ensures your continuing education units (CEUs) are accurately tracked for your national standing. Unlike standard state licenses, the NBCOT requires additional verification details to successfully link your certification to your profile.
To complete this process, you will need your NBCOT certification number, your date of birth, and your legal last name as it appears on your certification.
Adding Your NBCOT Certification
Log in to your CE Broker account.
Click the Licenses tab at the top of the page.
Click the + Add a License button.
Select National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy from the list of available boards.
Select your specific certification type (e.g., OTR or COTA).
Enter your NBCOT Certification Number in the designated field.
Enter your Date of Birth using the calendar selector or manual entry format.
Enter your Last Name exactly as it appears on your NBCOT record.
Click the "Add license/certificate" button to validate and add the certification to your account.
Important Considerations for NBCOT
Information Accuracy: If the information entered does not exactly match the NBCOT database, the system will not be able to link your certification. Ensure there are no extra spaces or typos in your last name or certification number.
Multiple Certifications: If you hold both a state license and an NBCOT certification, you must add both individually to track compliance for both entities.
