Activating a new CE Broker account is a simple, automated process.
However, when entering your license number, you might receive a message indicating, "license number not found":
There are three potential reasons for this situation:
1. The license is a Preliminary or Intern License Type.
State Boards do not currently integrate these preparatory licensures into the CE Broker system.
While you will not be able to create an account until a "fully fledged" professional license is issued by your regulating entity, you can still utilize the CE Broker course search as a reference for pre-approved courses to help meet your compliance needs!
2. The license number format is incorrect.
As there is no universal standard for license numbers, license number formats can vary from state to state.
When typing in your license number, it must be added exactly as it appears on your state's verification website. This includes all numbers, letters, spaces, and punctuation.
Common license number mistakes include:
-
Missing numbers
-
Missing letters
-
Missing punctuation
-
Missing qualifiers
You can contact your regulating board if you need further clarification on your license number format. If you confirm your license number and format are correct, but continue to receive the license not found message, please get in touch with our support team for further assistance.
3. Selecting the appropriate State in the license search.
CE Broker currently tracks professions for more than 100 regulating boards and agencies. If an incorrect state is selected, the system can produce a message that the license number associated is not found.
To ensure the system locates your correct license number:
Go back one page and select Explore other plans at the top of the screen.
Select Your Location ▾
You should then be able to Pick your correct State ▾ and Profession ▾ using the drop-down menus.
Once you have checked the State entry, you can select your preferred account plan: Professional, Pro +, Concierge, or the Free Basic account.
