Delegate Access allows you to connect your CE Broker account to an organization like your employer, enabling them to manage your continuing education compliance securely without needing your login details. You control the connection, can accept or revoke access anytime, and delegates can view credentials, report CE, and export transcripts but cannot manage licenses, payments, or subscriptions. Multiple organizations can be connected, and personal and delegate accounts must be separate with different emails.
What is Delegate Access?
Delegate Access lets you connect your CE Broker account to an organization — like your employer, HR department, or office manager — so they can help manage your continuing education compliance for you.
This is especially helpful if someone at your workplace has traditionally tracked your CE for you. Instead of sharing your password or one-time passcode (OTP) with them, which we don't recommend, Delegate Access gives them a secure, official way to view your credentials and report your CE without ever needing your login information.
You stay in control the entire time. You choose whether to accept the connection, and you can remove it whenever you'd like.
How do I connect my account to an organization?
There are two ways this usually happens:
If your employer already has an organization account set up: They can invite you directly by entering your email address. You'll get an email invitation, and you'll also see a pending invitation waiting for you in CE Broker.
If your employer hasn't set up an organization account yet:
- Go to Account menu → Delegate Access in your CE Broker account.
- Select Copy Instructions.
- Send those instructions to whoever you'd like to manage your CE (your employer, office manager, etc.).
- They'll follow the instructions to create an organization account and invite you.
Copying the instructions doesn't connect anything on its own — it simply points your employer toward the right steps. The actual connection happens once they send you an invitation and you accept it.
How do I accept a delegate invitation?
Look for the invitation in one of two places: the email sent to your account's email address, or your Delegate Access page inside CE Broker (under Actions Required).
Select Accept Invitation.
- If you're not already logged in, you'll be asked to log in or create an account first.
Clicking the link in the email doesn't connect you automatically — you'll always need to take that final step and select Accept Invitation once you're logged in. This makes sure the connection only happens with your explicit approval, even if you sign up with a different email than the one your employer used to invite you.
Good to know: If you started this process but didn't finish, just go back to the invitation email and select Accept Invitation again to pick up where you left off.
Next step: Once accepted, the organization will show as Linked on your Delegate Access page.
What can my delegate (organization) see and do?
Once you accept an invitation, the organization can view all of your credentials — both current and any added in the future. There isn't currently a way to share only some of your credentials; it's all or nothing.
Here's specifically what your delegate can and can't do:
They can:
- View your credentials and requirements
- Report CE on your behalf
- Edit or delete CE they've reported for you
- Export your CE certificates and transcripts (based on your own subscription tier)
They cannot:
- Add, edit, or delete a license or its supporting documents
- Report CE that requires a payment — you'll need to handle those submissions yourself
- Purchase a subscription upgrade on your behalf. If they try, they'll be directed to contact CE Broker Support instead.
Next step: If something looks off with what a delegate has reported, you can review your CE history any time from your account.
Can I connect with more than one organization?
Yes. You can be connected to multiple organizations at the same time if that fits your situation.
How do I remove an organization's access to my account?
- Go to Account menu → Delegate Access.
- Find the organization you'd like to disconnect.
- Select Revoke Access
Access ends immediately once you confirm. Every delegate connected to that organization will also receive an email letting them know the connection has ended.
Does my delegate need my password or OTP code to access my account?
No. Once connected, your delegate manages your CE through their own organization login — they never need your password or one-time passcode. If anyone has asked you to share your login credentials to manage your CE, Delegate Access is the secure alternative.
I'm a licensee, but I also manage CE for others at my job. Can I use the same account for both?
No. Your personal CE Broker account (as a licensee) and a delegate account (managing CE on behalf of others) need to be set up separately, each with its own email address.
We recommend using your work email for your delegate account and your personal email for your own licensee account. This keeps the two roles cleanly separated and avoids any mix-up between managing your own CE and managing CE for the professionals you support.
Pro Tip: If you already have a personal account and need to set up a delegate account, use a different email address than the one tied to your personal account when you create the organization.
