The CE Broker Basic account's Requirements section outlines continuing education needed for license renewal, showing static board requirements without real-time tracking. Users must manually compare completed courses in Course History to ensure all specific subject areas are met. Compliance status updates automatically once all requirements are fulfilled. Users can find approved courses and self-report completions via provided guides. Certificates need not be submitted if courses appear in Course History.
The Requirements section in your free CE Broker Basic account outlines the continuing education required for your current license renewal cycle. It provides a static view of your licensing board's renewal requirements to help you manage your compliance path. Because a free Basic account does not provide real-time, automated calculation or tracking, you must manually compare your completed courses with your requirements to ensure you are fully complete for renewal. Once all requirements are posted, your compliance status will update automatically.
The Requirements section displays critical renewal information, including required subject areas, hour-based requirements, completion-based requirements, and restrictions on course types.
Accessing the Requirements Tab
- Sign in to your CE Broker account.
- Select the "Requirements" tab in your account menu or click "View CE Requirements"
How to Use the Requirements Tab
The Requirements tab is a general outline of renewal requirements and does not reflect your individual, real-time completion progress. If your free Basic account shows you are not complete after reporting your courses, you can manually review your progress using your Course History.
To verify why your requirements are not marked as complete on a Basic account:
Select the Requirements tab to view your renewal checklist.
Select the Course History tab from your account menu to see all reported courses.
Compare your Course History against the requirements checklist to ensure every required subject area is posted.
Click on individual courses within your Course History to verify the specific subject area awarded.
Note: Some courses may focus on a specific topic but might only be approved by the board for another subject area, such as general hours. Clicking on the course allows you to verify if it satisfied a specific mandatory subject area.

Frequently Asked Questions for Basic Accounts
Why am I not complete if I already reported all my hours on my Basic account?
If you have reported all of your total hours but your free Basic account still shows you are not complete, it is most likely because one or more specific board requirements have not been met. Even if you have met the total number of hours required for renewal, your state board often mandates that a set number of those hours belong to specific categories (e.g., laws and rules, ethics, or human trafficking, etc). Click on individual courses in your Course History and compare it with the Requirement tab to verify exactly which subject areas were awarded.
When will CE Broker update my status on my Basic account?
Your compliance status will update automatically as soon as all individual board requirements are satisfied. If your compliance status has not changed on your free Basic account, please double-check your Requirements tab to ensure every single mandatory subject area has a corresponding course reported in your Course History.
Do I need to submit my certificates to CE Broker if they are already in my Course History?
No. If a course is already visible in your Course History, it has been successfully reported to your account and is visible to your state board.
